in the beginning...

Better late than never, right? Sorry we're a little late getting the blog started. I'm a little new to the whole blog thing and frankly, it frightens me a little. We'll give it a shot though, see how the rocks smooth out in the ol' tumbler.

Here's Ozan and me pre-Aydin the weekend mom and dad came up to help set up the nursery. We had no idea what was coming!!!

Here's your Baba and Mama the day we found out we were having a girl. We're actually in the ultrasound room waiting for the doctor to come in to confirm what the technician has seen. We were so thrilled!

Check our your pregant momma in Turkey the summer before you were born! I was about 27 weeks pregnant then, I think. Ozan and I had lunch along the water in Izmir that day and shopped in the bazaar and in the fancy shopping district. (We tried to find cute Turkish clothes for you but all the baby stores sold Carter's!)

The parents-to-be hanging out on one of your grandpa Varol's many patios. The sunset that night brought out the best in everyone.

Here's a roundup of the birth photos. You were so tiny!

Grandpa Skip and Mimi, the proud Hinshaw grandparents:

I'm actually imitating you:

You with your Uncle Taylor , who made a special pit stop en route to London from LA:

You were very long of limb, my dear! At 19-1/2 inches, you were all arms and legs!

Nanan Jo Anne came to meet you!
