Well, it's been a very long time since my last post, but I just wanted to mention I really do feel as though Aydin has gone through a key growth phase, this week . To me, she now looks like our 'little girl' as opposed to just our little baby. Of course, she'll always be 'our baby', no matter how old she is, but her face is changeing, now, too, and it's definitely changed over the course of this week. It makes me sad to think how quickly time passes by, particularly when you barely get a chance to savor things as the come up.
On a less somber note, for the first time, today, as I was changeing her diaper, we had an interesting exchange. I forget exactly what happened, but it was something like a piece of clothing falling on a toy, making it look silly and we both laughed at it. Whatever it was, we both laughed very naturally and then paused and then when I looked at her again later, I laughed again, being reminded of it, and she did too ! I think it's the first time she saw me laugh, knowing what I was thinking of, and laughing at it, too with me. That's pretty special - and I must say, I didn't think I'd be sharing this with her - at only 16 months!!
