Hi there Aydin,
It's been a big week so far. Yesterday we attended our first "Mommy & Me" yoga class at the YMCA. Pascale is teaching it. She remembered me from prenatal yoga at Area. The class was very small -- only three moms plus their babies. You were a very good student through most of the class. We had to rush your feeding before class, so you started to get hungry about halfway through. In M&M yoga, though, that's not a problem -- you just plop down on your mat and nurse! I met a couple of Stacy's (the other moms had the same name), plus Lev and Sophie. They're a lot older than you -- about 6 months a piece. It was fun to see what kind of developmental milestones we should expect to hit in the next few months. I can't wait to see all our tummy time paying off!
The yoga class may have been a bit much for you, though, for you were really cranky the rest of the day and into the night. Last night you didn't sleep the normal 7 hours, either, which disheartened your Baba and me. You've been pretty wakeful today, too, staying up most of the morning and having a hard time falling asleep. You've been asleep now for about 45 minutes, which has been your longest stretch so far today.
We tried (unsuccessfully) to feed you a bottle today. Your Baba tried this morning but you were too sleepy; then I tried once at your 8am feeding (not interested) and once at your 11am feeding. The 11am feeding was a huge failure: not only did you express no interest, the nipple of the bottle made you gag. When I tried one last time to insert the bottle you projectile vomited all your lunch all over me! I guess I got what I deserved.
