Words and Colors

Aydin recognizes the color purple and points out anything that happens to be purple. Like: her pacifier, which she now asks for by name and sounds a lot like "posse." She says, "purpuh" and it sounds an awful lot like "poopoo." But maybe that's just because she's got her Posse in her mouth most of the time.

When she says, "frog," it sounds a whole lot like the f-word. Which is alarming and we're always so relieved when we see she's just pointing out this little toy frog she found in the park and refused to give up, no matter how hard I tried. Which, truth be told, wasn't really that hard because I really like the little frog too.

I will have to find a purple frog to bring as a gesture of friendship pre-babysitting!

How about some purple cheese in the shape of a frog?
