Today we survived a trip to the dermatologist (for me, not Aydin). I say "survived" because we had to wait in the waiting room for an hour. Aydin entertained the receptionists with a mad case of the hiccups. Luckily, I was able to keep her snoozing until the visit was over, then surreptitiously nursed her in the patient room after the doctor saw me. We were able to go grocery shopping afterwards -- all told, we were able to be out and about for two whole hours! Other milestones? My first public breast milk leak spot. Luckily, it occurred on the hospital gown they had me change into in the patient room. When asked if I was breastfeeding, I smiled, pointed at my gown, and said, "What do YOU think?"
Amazing what becomes amazing once an infant enters your life.
This photo is actually from Monday. We went out for an evening walk to test drive our new "Ergo" baby carrier and to meet up with Ozan at the Borough Hall subway stop. The vest was hand-knitted by Bergen-yenge in Turkey. It's so cute! I think Aydin looks tres "Sha-Na-Na" in it.
