Lucky Number Seven

Aydin turns seven weeks old tonight. Time sure does fly! We popped over to the pediatrician's office this Tuesday to get her weight checked and to consult with the lactation specialist, Sam. We were pleased to see that Aydin has gained weight at the "normal" 1/2 pound a week rate. As of Tuesday, she was 10 pounds, 14 ounces. As I suspected, we're still having some difficulties getting the whole nursing thing down. Aydin's small mouth + my crazy abundant milk supply = bad latching habits that are very, very hard to break. Word to the preggie ladies everywhere: book the appointment with the lactation consultant for as soon as your baby is born. It is worth every penny (and here in NY, like everything else, it costs a lot of pennies).

Our new thing is chilling out in the Moby wrap. It's very comfortable and hugs her close to my body. Here's what she looks like all tucked in.
